The thing I always loved about Rugrats, was that it associated an adult humor with a child-like perspective which made it not only easy to watch as a kid but enjoyable as an adult.
As a child, I thought this scene was silly, random, and funny, however I never knew why. As an adult I can’t help but associate times in my own life where I found a benevolent reason to make (and consume) an entire batch of pudding.
Now, I get the joke. But the joke seems so sad and real. These moments happen to us all of the time.
